Rams RB Jackson on bigger workload for Sunday vs. Redskins: “Absolutely”

Although still listed as limited participation on the club’s official injury report, Rams running back Steven Jackson said there’s no hesitations to his availability this week against Washington according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He’s playing, and he’s hoping for a bigger workload.

“Absolutely,” Jackson said after practice Thursday. “I’m definitely hoping that last week to this week will change drastically in my playing time. But ultimately we’ve got to do what’s best for the team and whatever the game situation presents. I’m definitely preparing myself to be out there quite a bit.”

Jackson never gives percentages when asked about an injury, but coach Steve Spagnuolo said Jackson’s thigh injury is still less than 100 percent. “But he’s getting there,” Spagnuolo said. “Every day he’s getting better and better. He’s running around pretty good.”
