As Manningham comes, Stokley goes

As WR Mario Manningham returns from a concussion, it appears Brandon Stokley goes. At-least for now. The Giants lost receiver Brandon Stokley to what they are calling “a strained quad.” The details are not clear because the injury occurred during practice, after the portion the media is allowed to watch. Officially Stokley is listed as “limited” on the practice report. – This according to Ralph Vacchiano of the NYDN.

Stokley was seen with a large ice pack on his knee and severely limping to a car, while being escorted by Giants trainer Ronnie Barnes. While it might just be a strained quad, there is a strong chance Stokley will miss Sunday’s game in Arizona against the Cardnials. More details to come tomorrow, when the Giants are back at practice and Stokley’s MRI results are back.
