Nakamura Out a Month with Knee Injury; Foxworth and Evans Status Unclear

Safety Haruki Nakamura could miss at least a month after suffering a right knee injury in last Sunday’s game.

Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed the extent of the injury and according to the results of the MRI, Nakamura injured his PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament). The loss of Nakamura  is another hit to an already injury depleted secondary with Jimmy Smith and Domonique Foxworth both inactive last week.

Inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbee was an injury casualty from the Rams victory. Ellerbee injured his hamstring and his availability is unclear for the Jets game.

As for updates to already injured Ravens, there aren’t many. Harbaugh stated that the team is in a “wait and see” mode with both receiver Lee Evans and Corner Domonique Foxworth. I guess that we’ll have to pay attention to the injury report during practice this week.

One bit of good news is that rookie Jimmy Smith appears to be eyeing a Week Six return after the Ravens Bye week following the Jets game this Sunday. Not ideal but it will do for good news.
