Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Packers starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga suffered a knee sprain and bruise during Sunday’s win over the Bears, head coach Mike McCarthy said at his press conference on Monday.
The extent of Bulaga’s availability for Week four’s contest at home against Denver won’t be revealed until further in the week, according to McCarthy. He noted that team physician Pat McKenzie manifested Bulaga caught a break by not suffering a more serious knee injury. He phrased the incident a “freak play.”
On the flip side of the coin, McCarthy said running back Ryan Grant suffered a kidney bruise in Chicago on Sunday and his status is unclear for the Broncos.
The other injury McCarthy reported was linebacker Brad Jones with a hamstring strain.
