What Was That Pete Carroll and Jon Ryan?

Well, if the Seahawks lose this game, they certainly deserve to lose it.

That has to be one of the more head scratching sequence of playcalling I have seen for awhile.

Seemingly in Field Goal range, at least in the Josh Brown/Olindo Mare days, Pete Carroll decided to punt the ball, even taking a delay of game penalty to give Jon Ryan more room to kick.

Ryan is a respected punter in the league, and he just shanked it, and the strategy has backfired horribly as a pass interference call has put the Cardinals in field goal range.

If they had made a Field Goal, they would have to score a touchdown here to accomplish anything. If they had missed the FG it still would have only been a net loss of 11 yards from where the 11 yard punt ended up.

At a time when everyone is considering the Seahawks frontrunners in the suck for luck derby…

And Kam Chancellor ends the game! At least the Seahawks won’t be picked apart for their almost fatal (again), Special Teams flop.

I’ll take a win, but it doesn’t change the fact that Special Teams gaffe was horrendous..
