Rex Grossman
has thrown for at least 2 TDs in four of his FIRST five starts with the Redskins.

Kyle Orton has thrown for 2+ TDs twice in his last five starts.

White Sox GM Kenny Williams’s son Kyle Williams got his first career TD catch for the 49ers.

Cam Newton is on pace for 6832 passing yards, Tom Brady for 7520. I guess you could say people hear their footsteps.

This was the second straight week the Panthers D allowed a runner to average at least 5 ypc.

Steve Smith has 13 career 150-yard+ games (two of those were in the playoffs), & a 149-yard game. Hines Ward has 4.

Jordy Nelson has 6 TDs incl. playoffs since week 1 2010: 10, 80, 6, 29, 3 & yards.

Jordy Nelson would have had another long one in the NFCCG if Tim Jennings had not have pulled on his hand-warmer.

Demarcus Ware has 4 sacks through two games. His previous best was 2.

Rules inflate stats. Philip Rivers just had his 13th 330+ yard performance. Dan Marino only had 12 during the 1990s.

The Chargers are 0-5 when Philip Rivers throws for at least 375 yards.

The Bengals and Bills teams Ryan Fitzpatrick led have never been near the talent median but he is 14-20-1 as a starter.

Since week 1 2010, the Packers have played 20 games with Aaron Rodgers taking majority of snaps. In those 20 games, they’ve entered halftime with 13+ points 14 times. 2 of the exceptions were vs. Bears.

The Rams are facing their 6th opponent in 7 games that either made playoffs or won 10 games last season.

5 of the last 6 regular season games for the Bears have been against 2010 playoff teams.

The last time the Redskins faced a 2010 playoff team, it was their November 15th, post-bye Monday Night Meltdown. The next time will be Philly once more on October 16th.

The Buccaneers secondary, already torched by Calvin Johnson and having gone up against Harvin, has to defend against 3 of 2011’s top 4 WRs. That doesn’t even include Andre Johnson, who they also encounter. The top ones are Steve Smith, Kenny Britt, and Miles Austin (he should be back for this Christmas match-up).

Saints WR Devery Henderson is on a pace for 16 touchdown receptions. His career high is 5 in 2006.

Rex Ryan’s Jets are 6-1 when Dustin Keller scores a touchdown.

Falcons RB Michael Turner has tied a career high with 2 40+ yard runs this season.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett and freshly-acquired Cowboys CB Frank Walker were teammates on the 2003 Giants.

Aaron Rodgers is a 144.6-rated passer against the blitz. He’s 20-29, 352 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT. He was a 108.7-rated passer against the blitz in 2009-2010.

Tom Coughlin has lost six straight games against the Eagles, the longest losing streak against any team in his career.

Kerry Collins’ two starts as a Colt rank as his 65th and 117th-highest rated starts out of 179 in his career.
