The Jaguars are giving the keys to the offense to rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert according to the Associated Press.
Coach Jack Del Rio named the Missouri alum the starting signal caller Wednesday, altering tossers three days after Luke McCown threw four picks against in the Big Apple against the Jets.
Del Rio met with Gabbert and McCown on Wednesday morning, then told other players about the change at a team meeting. Gabbert, the tenth overall pick, will start Sunday at Carolina against fellow rookie sensation Cam Newton.
