Ryan Says That Mangold is “Iffy” for Sunday in Oakland

Center Nick Mangold was termed “iffy” for playing this Sunday at Oakland due to an ankle injury.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said during his press conference Monday that Mangold had an MRI, which revealed a high right ankle sprain.

“So I would say his status for the game would be, I assume, very iffy,” the coach said. “I don’t think it looks very good as far as playing this week. But with that being said, he thinks he can go. And he’s started 80-some games in a row. We’ll see how it progresses. I wouldn’t count him out.”
