In last night’s 28-16 Giants triumph over the Rams, there may have been some “gamesmanship” during the Rams no-huddle offense.
Giants safety Deon Grant and linebacker Jacquian Williams both fell to the turf with less than four minutes remaining in the first quarter with the Rams executing the no-huddle.
“Miraculously, he (Grant) recovered quickly,” ESPN’s Mike Tirico said after eyeing the replay.
Analyst/color commentator Jon Gruden said, “I hate to say that he’s (Grant’s) not really hurt, but that’s a tactic that defenses have used in the past against no-huddle offenses to try to slow it down and stop the clock.”
Coach Coughlin thought Grant might have been “cramping.”
