Deadline for Ngata’s Extension Looming

To be exact it’s 4 p.m. today.

If the Ravens hope to sign Defensive Tackle Haloti Ngata to a long-term deal this season and free up cap space they will need to get do so soon.

Very soon.

Reports vary as to just how far both sides are in terms of money so it’s hard to say if a deal is imminent or not.

If they don’t get the extension signed Ngata will still be paid handsomely this season, which is around $12.5 million dollars. The Ravens would then most likely franchise him again for next season if a deal could not be brokered.

Considering that the Ravens are running thin at Receiver and Cornerback at this point the extra money would be a great help. The team could sign some help while current players get healthy.
