49ers wide receiver Braylon Edwards, who suffered a right knee sprain that held him to only the first three snaps of Sunday’s contest, is considered as day-to-day, according to 49ers general manager Trent Baalke per 95.7 The Game by way of Matt Maiocco from CSNBayarea.com.
After Braylon sprained his knee while hauling in a 21-yard toss from Alex Smith on the first series of the game, the Niners were left with only a trio of healthy wideouts against Dallas: Ted Ginn Jr., Kyle Williams (caught a 12-yard TD on Sunday), and Josh Morgan. Edwards underwent an MRI exam on Monday. He was witnessed entering the 49ers’ team offices without crutches or a brace on his right knee.
“We’ve gotten the results,” Baalke said. “He’s a little nicked up and day-to-day right now.
“He’s been seen by our docs. Our medical staff is working with him, and we’ll see how he comes along and progresses as the week goes on.”
