Lunch Table Picks Week 2

By Columnist Chris DeSantis

Week 2 is here football fans! Grab your 6 pack and Cool Ranch Doritos. Plop your butt down into your recliner and sit back and enjoy. This week the Eagles face the tough challenge of traveling south to Atlanta and facing the Falcons on Sunday Night Football. The Falcons are trying to recover from a mauling by the Bears. The Eagles are coming off a win over the Rams, but the Birds run defense has once again been exposed. Still I feel that Mike Vick will shine on the prime time stage of Sunday Night Football. Eagles over the Falcons 28-17.

Let’s move on to the Cincinnati Bungles. What happened Cleveland? I guess you never know what will happen in divisional games. If Cincy stands a chance they have to run the ball. Last week Cedric Benson dropped 121 yards on the Browns. Guess what Bungle fans? It would be an easy pick to say you go to Denver and run all over the Broncos. I say the Broncos rally behind troubled quarterback Kyle Orton. Broncos over the Bengals 20-14.

The opening game of the season was a classic. It had a Montana vs. Elway feel to the last few drives. Drew Brees and the Saints failed to complete the last second come back as the Packers Defense stuffed rookie running back Mark Ingram at the goal line. The Bears looked great rolling over the Falcons, but this one is in the Superdome. I just don’t like the Bears in this one. Saints bounce back this week. 38-24.

Picture this. Your gas light on your dash board pops on. You know you have anywhere from 15-30 miles before you are totally empty. You get bold and think you can just press on and get to point B. Well this is how I feel about McNabb. His gas light just popped on. There is no way Donovan has two crap games in a row. I do like the Bucs, but not this week. Vikes over Bucs 24-10.

Okay Colts lose by 100 without Manning! But I will play this game on Madden with Manning. Yes Madden Geekoids I’ve saved a roster with a healthy Manning. Madden Colts beat down Madden Browns 38-3!!

Here is the rest of Sundays games:

Lions over Chiefs 28-17

Bills over RAIDERS (Berman voice) 24-17

Ravens over Titans 31-14

Redskins over Cards 24-20

Steelers bounce back and mug the Seahawks 31-10

Cowboys over the Niners 28-10

Pats roll on over the Chargers 42-31

Packers over Panthers 34-24

Dolphins hold off the Texans 28-24

Upset special:Vegas has the Jets as 9 pt favorites over the Jags at home. I like the Jags with a straight up upset. Jags win 24-21
