Yesterday Jerry Jones said Cowboys electric wideout, Dez Bryant, would play against San Francisco on Sunday despite not practicing on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday morning, Dez Bryant’s status would seem in jeopardy as he did not practice for the third straight day.
Jones said on the Cowboys flagship radio station, KRLD-FM, “We’re going to have to monitor that and are monitoring it,” Jones said. “He didn’t practice the last couple of days, but we’ll see how he does today and of course we’ve got at least 48 hours before kickoff time. Hopefully he’ll feel better as we get closer to Sunday.”
Head coach Jason Garrett did not give a ringing endorsement to Bryant’s chances either, saying, “We’re hopeful he’ll continue to improve on his rehab and hopefully be ready to go on Sunday afternoon,” coach Jason Garrett said Friday.
It is expected that the Cowboys will list Bryant’s status as questionable on the injury report heading into the game and will likely be a game time decision.
