Ron Bartell Out For The Year

The Rams starting corner Ron Bartell has been lost for the year to a broken vertebrae in his neck, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting.  However, despite other players’ careers ending from this particular injury, Bartell’s reportedly looks like it will allow him to play again in 2012.

If there is any good news in the whole ordeal, it is that.  However, it is not guaranteed that Bartell will be able to play in 2012, it is just that Bartell will be back with the Rams and attempting to play again.  Will Carroll calls returning from this sort of injury “Not Common”.  However, as it is a fairly uncommon injury, there could be some sample size issue at work here as well.

What we do know, is that Bartell is out for the year, should head to IR and the Rams will need to fill his roster spot with another cornerback as soon as possible.
