Rams RB Jackson to miss Week two Monday night showdown in Big Apple?

UPDATE: Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo confirmed via press conference that running back Steven Jackson has a strained quadriceps that will probably keep him out of next week’s battle against the 0-1 Giants.

According to NFL.com and NFL Network fantasy editor Michael Fabiano, Rams bruising star running back Steven Jackson is likely to miss Week two’s Monday night clash at the Giants:

If you own Steven Jackson or need an RB, grab Cadillac Williams. Looks like Jackson will miss Week 2.

Jackson had two carries for 56 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown run on the Rams’ first offensive play of the season. The former Beaver standout was injured after a nine-yard gain on his second carry, giving way to Cadillac Williams.

The Oregon State product’s backup, Cadillac Williams, played extremely well against the Eagles on Sunday, accumulating 140 total offensive yards.

The ex-Buccaneer runner picked up 91 yards on 19 carries in the ground department against Philadelphia.

Williams, an Auburn alum, also played a part in the aerial attack, registering six catches for 49 yards in Week one.

Lastly, Jerious Norwood, the third-string back, gave the Rams three runs for ten yards.
