Bill Leavy, the referee who self admittedly impacted the outcome of Super Bowl XL, will be refereeing next weeks road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If I were you, I would look at this as a good thing, if anything. After that Super Bowl he is going to be on extra good behavior and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a tamely officiated defensive struggle next week.
One things for sure, this Seahawks team has pretty much nothing in common with the 2005 squad; I believe Marcus Trufant and Leroy Hill are the only starters who have survived the Carroll roster shredder. While this may be a game that resonates to the fan base, in all honesty this team has no attachment to that game, to Pete Carroll, it’s just another game.
