Seattle Seahawks 25th In ESPN Power Rankings

If Seattle still had Matt Hasselbeck, most would be calling for an NFC West repeat with pro bowlers Sidney Rice and Zach Miller acquired during the off season to complement pro bowl running back Marshawn Lynch.

But this is what happens when you smoke too much and go out and acquire Tarvaris Jackson and immediately install him as your starting quarterback… And your other option is Charlie Whitehurst.

Just like last season, the Seahawks are in the bottom tier of the power rankings, I recall last years original placement being 28th.

Maybe a season from now the 12th Man will be giddy that they will have first dibs on the best quarterback prospect of an era while the rest of the league sits there pissed off with envy.

I have had someone e-mail me and say, if the Seahawks aren’t going to the Super Bowl, does 2011 really matter in the long run if you can obtain Andrew Luck out of it?

That question, well, it’s tough to answer.

I guarantee we are a better team this year than last. Our record might not show it at the end of the year due to our schedule, but we are a bigger, stronger and faster team. You can’t rebuild a team in one year. Matt Hasselbeck’s best years are behind him. He threw 17 interceptions versus 12 touchdowns last year. Time to get over Hasselbeck, Pete Carrol and the Seahawks has moved on.

My only comment is Tarvaris Jackson SUCKS! He should still be playing Pee Wee football! He definately isn’t good enough for NFL! Even at his worst Matt was better than this!!!!!!

Seahawks had a good run last year. Had a litte fun in the post season. Had thw highlight run of the year. They created an earthquake. And now theuve pretty much told the fans “well that was fun but lets go back to the old, we miss shaun alexander, losing team that we were beforel by naming tavaris jackson their starter
