Peyton Will Play Week One In Houston
He has never missed an NFL start during his illustrious thirteen-year pro career.
With 227 consecutive starts under center for the Colts, why would Manning start missing games now?
On Monday, the Colts activated Manning off of the Physically-Unable-to-Perform list, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.
Translation: Peyton can start practicing with the Colts, which in my opinion, makes him an even greater lock to play in the regular season opener against the Texans.
While on the PUP list, Manning could not participate in practice with the club. If he remained on the list after this weekend, he would need to stay on PUP for the first six weeks of the NFL regular season
Once off the list, a player cannot be placed back on it. Rest assured, Manning’s good to go.
Here’s a tweet complimentary of Colts owner Jim Irsay:
#18 to the practice field! Soon the leaves will fall/I looked at sideline sat.night n saw $30,000,000.00 standing there,my checkbook hurts!
