It was thought at most points of the summer that somehow, someway, Tim Tebow would end up as the starting QB for the Broncos.
Then Kyle Orton didn’t get moved to the Dolphins, and then Tebow started quickly to fall out of favor with the upper management with the Broncos.
Which leads to today’s news about the QB race in Denver, which shouldn’t be all that shocking considering how fast Tebow has been going backwards in the eyes of those inside the team.
The news is that Brady Quinn is now clearly the backup to Orton, leaving Tebow to be the number three QB for Denver. More than in any workout during training camp and preseason, it was clear that Quinn was working exclusively with the number two offense at the Broncos’ workout Monday.
