The Baltimore Ravens Sign Ricky Williams

The Baltimore Ravens have signed free agent running back Ricky Williams to a 2-year deal worth up to $4m (PFT).

When Ricky Williams had an apparent relapse in 2007, then-Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said ” I will not allow our fans to be let down by people that are not on our roster — not again. It’s my responsibility not to let that happen. We have the greatest fans in the game, and we’ve got men on our team that we’re going to focus on.”

“The easiest predictor of future behavior is previous behavior. Could I have made that statement 15 years ago? Absolutely not. I was trying to save every guy in the game,” Cameron added.

Ricky Williams returned to the Dolphins that season, got injured, has stayed out of trouble and had one phenomenal comeback season in 2009 with 1121 yards and 11 touchdowns. Despite only starting seven games, he has two more touchdowns than Ray Rice (16 to 14) in the last two seasons.
