Source: Bengals, Safety Whitner Come To Terms

8th Overall Pick In 2006

Good move for a team looking to shore up a major weakness on defense.

The Bengals have acquired their much-needed safety, signing ex-Bill Donte Whitner, to a two-year deal.

The patience paid off for the former Ohio State standout:

“It was a long wait but I learned a lot from this and it will only Make me a better father, person and football player.”

Whitner logged 140 tackles last season in Buffalo.
