Free agent defensive end Ty Warren has signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. According to Schefter, Warren’s contract is worth $10 million, with $2.5 million guaranteed.
The 30-year-old has spent the last eight seasons with the Patriots, totaling 373 tackle and 20.5 quarterback sacks. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman spent the 2010 on injured reserve with a hip injury, and was released last week for salary cap purposes.
Warren will likely play defensive tackle for the Broncos. Warren (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) visited Dove Valley several days ago and the Broncos made him an offer. He spoke to the Texans and Chiefs, before settling on the Broncos.
