Free agent offensive tackle Ryan Harris will likely re-sign with the Broncos.
Harris will “visit” the same facility he’s spent the first four years of his career on Tuesday, which Klis notes has been a precursor to a contract for the team’s free agents this offseason.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Harris was a third-round pick (70th overall) out of Notre Dame in 2007. The following season, Harris and 2008 first-round left tackle Ryan Clady appeared to give the Broncos one of the top young tackle tandems in the NFL before injuries (toe, ankle) limited Harris to 19 games over the last two seasons.
Harris, who will likely sign a one-year deal, could compete with 2011 second-round pick Orlando Franklin for the starting right tackle spot. Franklin played left tackle during his senior season at the University of Miami, but spent much of his collegiate career playing guard and could move inside.
wow….u might have to retract this article. Since he just signed with the EAGLES! YEAAA….
