Colts Sign Two Former Top Ten Picks; DE Anderson, LB Sims

Sims Is Ideal For Indy

Redemption has been a common theme during free agency.

The Colts have decided to follow the trend, offering an opportunity for a pair of former first round choices, defensive end Jamaal Anderson and linebacker Ernie Sims, to redeem themselves in Larry Coyer’s system.

Anderson was the eighth overall selection (Arkansas) by the Falcons in the 2007 draft, while Sims was taken ninth (Florida State) by the Lions the previous year.

Sims played for the Eagles in 2010, after four campaigns in the Motor City, while Anderson had spent his entire career in Atlanta.

Both players registered two sacks for their respective clubs last season.
