The Jets Shell Out $32m to Antonio Cromartie

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting that Antonio Cromartie has re-signed with the New York Jets for 4 years and $32m.

In addition to his 18 interceptions and 59 passes defensed in his five seasons, he’s also a weapon on special teams. That role could be increased now that Brad Smith has left.

  1. Joe says:

Worst signing of the season. Cromartie is an AVERAGE cb. He gets burned every game, probably the most talked about bum in the league. I wouldn’t want him on my team for $3 million a year.

And NYJ just gave him $8 million a year. Bye bye NYJ sb hopes! LMAO

  2. Russ Loede says:

No, Joe, the Jets Super Bowl hopes are still alive – they signed Plaxico Burress. On top of that, Santonio Holmes said they are “the team to beat.”
