Dolphins Talk to Former Giants Center Shaun O’Hara

The Dolphins brought in former New York Giants center Shaun O’Hara today for a visit. O’Hara can play both center and guard, and with rookie Mike Pouncey being able to play both as well, the Dolphins could be looking to bring in O’Hara as a versatile backup/mentor for Pouncey.

With Pouncey taking all the reps with the first time yesterday in camp, it is looking unlikely that O’Hara would come in and unseat him for the starting job at this point, although the Dolphins are known to make some surprising choices when it comes to the offensive line, such as releasing Jake Grove last year and starting Joe Berger.

With both O’Hara and Pouncey being able to play multiple positions, it would give the Dolphins some much needed flexibility on the interior of their line, with multiple players, including Richie Incognito, being able to play numerous positions.
