Baltimore Inks Pro Bowl Fullback Vonta Leach for Three Years, $11 Million

The Ravens made a solid move on the free agency market on Sunday, coming to terms on a three-year, $11 million dollar deal with Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach. “Will be a Raven this year,” Leach wrote on his Twitter account.

“Let the fun begin,” Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice said in a message to Leach. Leach was a big part of the Texans run game a season ago, blocking gor Pro Bowl runner Arian Foster. The Texans were one of five teams in the mix for his services.

Leach takes over for another Pro Bowl fullback, Le’Ron McClain. Reports say that the Chiefs are looking at possibly inking McClain.

  1. D Chavis says:

Congrats to Vonta Leach. My husband was his high school principal (South Robeson High School, Rowland, NC) and still speaks well of this young man.

  2. And now Ricky Williams, hopefully Leach can help him out.
