Veteran RB Kevin Faulk Returns to the Patriots; Makins Inks Deal

Veteran RB Kevin Faulk is back with the Patriots according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald. Faulk, who said he has no plans of retiring, will receive a shot to make the roster after all.

After tearing his ACL last year, Faulk has rehabbed enough to take part in camp, though he’s not out here today. He’d previously noted he didn’t want to play for another team than the Pats. Rapoport said his name is on the roster. So it’s official.

The Patriots also announced they have signed offensive guard Logan Mankins to a one-year contract. As the Patriots’ franchise player, Mankins will play for $10.51 million this season. He’ll go after the long-term deal he has coveted next offseason while making more this season than he had in his previous six years combined.
