Source: Nnamdi Favoring Cowboys Over Jets?

Is Big D Top Corner’s #1 Choice?

Prized cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha of the Oakland Raiders is a wanted man, and now it’s down to two clubs that want him.

According to NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi, the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets are the two teams left in the Nnamdi sweepstakes.

Furthermore, Fox Sports’ Adam Caplan tweeted that America’s Team is atop Gang Green for the services of the lock down defensive back:

“To add fuel to the fire on Asomugha, player source said Dallas, not NYJ, #1 on his list. Problem is Dallas needs to clear up cap space.”]

Keep in mind, Nnamdi played under Rob Ryan in Oakland, who’s the Cowboys defensive coordinator.

Stay tuned.  I sense a decision on Asomugha will be made soon.

lol,… I think he is going to stay in Oakland. Nobody is talking of Oakland resigning him. Why do you think this is taking so long? He is just waiting until 6ET when free agents can be re-signed by their own teams. The longer it drags out, the better chance it is he stays. Al overpaid for him at the time of his last contract. He will match or beat any offer out there for him. Watch and see!!!!

I hope Nnamdi is waiting for the Raiders to clear some cap space so that they can make him an offer. The Cowboys aren’t that much better than the Raiders if at all.

Are you serious? I live in the bay and know plenty of OAK fans and none of them are foolish enough to make that statement.

Dallas needs Nnamdi. Look at the division they play in. Nicks, Jackson, Maclin, Moss, Smith.

No way he stays with Oakland. They gave Seymour and Routt the big money already.

Also, Wimbley and Kelly are getting paid too much.

Lastly, the Cowboys are clearly a better team than the Raiders. They actually have a quarterback who can complete the ball down the field.

However, I am impressed with the Raiders new set of playmakers on offense.

Darren McFadden has revived his career, looking like an MVP-caliber back last season, Jacoby Ford is uncatchable, and Taiwan Jones has serious wheels.

Add in the mad rushing skills of Michael Bush, you have the forming of a decent offense.

Lastly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford dazzles again a la DeSean Jackson. Excellent hands and speed to burn. Plus, he can take the rock to the house in the return department.
