Atlanta Is Still Sending Away For Jones
The Atlanta Falcons gave up their 2011 and 2012 first round picks, a 2011 second round pick and both 2011 and 2012 fourth round picks in order to move up in April’s draft to acquire wide receiver Julio Jones from Alabama.
Now they have signed the former Crimson Tide pass catcher to a four-year deal worth $16.2 million, fully guaranteed, according to an NFL source from Zach Klein of WSB Atlanta.
Jones, a tantalizing talent, is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound physical specimen, who ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and posted a 38 1/2-inch vertical jump.
