Jets Players Willing To Take Pay Cuts For CB Asomugha?

From The Silver & Black To Gang Green?

The well-respected Andrew Brandt of the National Football Post has noted that Jets players may restructure contracts in order for the club to sign Oakland Raiders standout cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha:

Am told Jets’ aggressive play with Holmes will not deter pursuit of Nnamdi. Couple players notified of possible restructure if needed.

It looks like, Mark Sanchez, the leader of the Jets, has his teammates truly following his lead.  If the Jets make room for Nnamdi to join Darrelle Revis, it could have Gang Green looking the NFL’s version of the hoop team down in South Beach.  At first glance, it looked like a pipe dream, now it looks more and more like a scary reality that could hit the AFC East hard.

The Jets already have the “Public Enemy No. 1”  label around the league, but will a move to acquire Nnamdi make them even more hated?  Rowdy Rowdy Rex Ryan has to be licking his chops, while Bart Scott is preparing feisty messages on he wants to play “two-a-games.”  They feed off the attention of being the over-confident bad guys.

Nonetheless, the route the NBA’s Miami Heat traveled could be rubbing off on the Jets if Revis has Asomugha on the other side of the field of him on gamedays this Fall.  Who ever knew Mark Sanchez was taking notes from Dwayne Wade.  I won’t even dare compare Asomugha to LeBron.

Are you a moron? How do you compare Sanchez to Wade? Revis WAS ON THE TEAM BEFORE SANCHEZ GOT DRAFTED. Anyone comparing the Jets to the Heat must have a seriously low IQ. First off, you have the fact Revis was drafted by the Jets and this is ONE free agent they are going after. Second, last I checked there is a difference between 2 guys on a roster of 53 who only play on one side of the ball and 3 guys on a roster of 12 who play both O and D.

    Wow…the idiocy is incredible.

Mark Sanchez is going to take less money for Nnamdi to sign with the Jets.

Didn’t Dwayne Wade do this with LeBron?

Are the Jets hated like the Heat? Rex Ryan is ultra confident, a la the “Not 1…not 6, not 7…but…championships” spectacle by the Heatles?

    You see the similarities?

Sanchez is sacrificing like Wade, Ryan and the whole team has that aurora of arrogance around them similar to the Heat.

Didn’t say it was exactly alike, but you cannot deny some similarities if Nnamdi signs with Gang Green.
