Gore Is Truly An Elite RB
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter, San Francisco 49ers standout running back Frank Gore is expected to holdout during training camp.
Consider this a welcome-to-the-NFL moment for 49ers HC Jim Harbaugh: RB Frank Gore is planning to hold out when SF reports to camp.
The back from the “U” has a contract valued at $28.012 million over five years. His final season includes a $2.9 million base salary and a $2 million roster bonus.
In other 49ers news, the club is still going hard after Oakland Raiders superstar cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, according to NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi:
Jets main competition for Asomuga right now are the 49ers, they are in it strong…will be interesting to see how it plays out…
The heat is on for Nnamdi, while the heat will be turned off for Frank Gore, as he chills inside with the “AC” on while his teammates participate in camp come Thursday. Keep in mind, Drew Rosenhaus is Gore’ agent.
