Tarvaris Jackson to the Seahawks

On Tuesday, free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks (Dave Mahler, 950 KJR).

His rocky relationship with the Vikings included a playoff loss at home against the Eagles in the 2008 season.

He was 20-14 as a starter while a Viking, throwing for 24 TDs, 22 INTs, while rushing for 4 more TDs. His arm strength and mobility are both superior to that of Whitehurst but Tarvaris has struggled to go through his progressions and make correct reads during his career. He only appeared in three games in 2010, starting just 1. He will be reunited with his Minnesota offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who will have more play-calling freedom than he did under Chilly.

UPDATE: NFL Network’s Jason La Confora is reporting that he looks for the Seahawks to sign free agent QB Matt Leinart as well.
