Unlike Nation’s Capital, Twin Cities Would Support McNabb
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via league sources, the Minnesota Vikings are one of a few teams that have talked trade with the Washington Redskins concerning quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Even more, NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora via Twitter says a deal is in place if the financial side is worked out:
More from NFL Network: Vikes and Skins have parameters of a deal for McNabb but agreeing on financial terms with him could be tricky…
The only issue now holding back a potential deal is McNabb’s big contract. In order to acquire Donovan, the Vikings would have to re-work his figures, and I believe the move will eventually get done (price: sixth or seventh round draft pick) because the both the ‘Skins and the Purple squad are desperate.
With Tarvaris Jackson on his way to Seattle, the Vikings are looking for a veteran signal caller to give rookie Christian Ponder time to develop – and what better under center navigator than McNabb?
