Jets Bart Scott Says No More Two-A-Days Will Make Game Soft


Most NFL players are not big fans of two-a-day practice sessions.

Don’t count Jets linebacker Bart Scott in that list.

Scott spoke out to the Times-Ledger, stating that he thinks the elimination of two-a-day practices will make the game soft. “I think it’s wimping out; making football more soft,” Scott said on Tuesday.

“I get concerned you’re making football players weaker because you don’t push them past that threshold…I get concerned with the same thing with the quarterback stuff, that they turn it into flag football; they turn it into little pansy stuff.”
