Tiki Barber Says the Buccaneers Are On His Shortlist

Tiki Barber has revealed that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are two squads on his shortlist. This is kinda big because his agent claims there are two teams that are showing significant interest.

The objections inevitably are he’s too old (he is in great shape), he’ll implode the locker room (that can only happen to weak locker rooms), he’s full of himself (OK?), or that they don’t need him.

Barber went over 530 yards receiving six times in his career. That’s six more times than Cadillac has. I’m sure Josh Freeman would like an effective pass-blocking outlet receiver he can count on. Ultimately, what does it hurt to bring him in and try him out? Tiki doesn’t have to be anything other than better than the running back on the bottom of the roster. Depending on the number of offers he might receive, Tiki could consider – now and/or after his next retirement – that getting a few touches after being away from the game for four seasons might be enough of an accomplishment by itself.

He is a joke isn’t he. His mom gave an interview in which she said he needs to become a better father. I guess it’s like father likes son. Guess his mistress is getting in the way of his children.

So, Tiki has decided that the Steelers and the Buccaneers have made his shortlist? Wow, what an honor for these teams! This kind of grandstanding by Barber is precisely why the Steelers won’t touch him.
