Titans WR Kenny Britt Issues Statement Over Facebook Words Towards Goodell

After a posting on his Facebook page stated his intent to retire along with harsh words for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt issued the following statement to The Tennessean.

“I have the utmost respect for Commissioner Goodell, the NFL and the TN Titans,” Britt said. “The Facebook posting as reported was not made by myself nor have I given any statements to anyone regarding this matter. It is not a defense but a fact that this Facebook page and associated email account were hacked and reported more than 120 days ago.”

Even if Mark Zuckerberg were the world’s biggest Titans fans and can vouch that Britt’s Facebook was hacked and remained unresolved for “more than 120 days”, seven scrapes with law enforcement over the past two years ensures that the 22-year-old will be on Goodell’s personal conduct policy violation radar screen when the lockout ends.
