The Cardinals with Interest in Kyle Orton; a Move They Should Make

The Cardinals think highly of Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton, who supposedly is available via trade according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Many have felt that the Cards have been high on Eagles backup Kevin Kolb, but now it seems that the team has somewhat soured on the idea of taking Kolb and may be focused in on Orton, who the Broncos seem willing to ship for the right price.

The price for Kolb may have to be a first round pick, while for Orton the team may only have to ship maybe a second and a third or something along those lines.

Orton last season threw for 3653 yards with 20 touchdowns and 9 picks for the Broncos, but the team seems more bent on giving Tim Tebow, last years first-round pick, a long look at training camp.

Arizona should do what they can to get Orton, he has shown he can win in both Chicago and Denver, and he is going to cost a ton less than Kolb, who has still yet to prove he can win in this league week in and week out.

Nice try Cardinals! But I have to tell you nobody is fooled. If you are thinking Eagles would lower the Kevin Kolb’s price just becuz you throw Orton’s name around every now and then, you are making a mistake. There isnt a NFL fan who doesnt know the difference between a young high-potential, skilled QB like Kolb and a second string, often benched QB like Orton. If you can not afford to pay a 1st rounder, then look for other options(Cromartie maybe..who knows?)But these games obviously are not gonna make Kolb a cardinal!

    no bad idea

Orton is a way better QB than Kolb.. just look at the stats. What is it you think separates Kolb from the likes of Matt Leinart?

Kyle is better than what they have right now, when the lockout ends I would not waste any time to get him
