Dolphins to Target Bengals QB Carson Palmer?

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins will be in line for Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer if and when the Bengal decide to grant his trade request.

That is a gigantic IF as Bengals general manager Mike Brown has not softened his public stance on trading Palmer despite drafting TCU quarterback Andy Dalton to be his quarterback of the future. Palmer has said he will retire rather than stay with the Bengals. It is believed he would prefer to be traded to a West Coast team.

Salguero believes that Palmer is the best quarterback alternative of a group including Marc Bulger, Donovan NcNabb, Vince Young, Matt Flynn, and possibly Kevin Kolb and Kyle Orton.

That is debatable considering the pounding Palmer has taken the past couple of years. No one knows what the Bengals would ask in return for Palmer. It is also fun to speculate how enthusiastic (not) Carson would be to going from the T.Ocho Show to Brandon Marshall.
