San Diego Gets Michigan OLB Mouton with the 61st Pick

The Chargers went with a linebacker with their second pick of round two, taking Michigan OLB Jonas Mouton.

2010: All-Big Ten second team (media) … U-M’s Roger Zatkoff Award (top linebacker) … Butkus Award watch list … Phil Steele’s Midseason All-Big Ten third team … started 12 games at weakside linebacker … led Big Ten with 117 stops (9.8 avg.) … also recorded 8.5 TFLs, two sacks, two interceptions, three PBUs, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries …shared the team lead in tackles for loss and fumble recoveries …2009: Started all 11 games played at weakside linebacker … missed the Eastern Michigan game (Sept. 19) … team’s fourth-leading tackler with 66 stops … contributed three TFLs, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and four PBUs …2008: Started 11 of 12 games at weakside linebacker … team’s second-leading tackler … posted a career-best 76 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and one sack …2007: Played in nine games … contributed five tackles … had a 20-yard kickoff return … made career debut vs. Notre Dame (Sept. 15), playing special teams.
