New England Working Out QB’s; Will They Take One in the Draft?

Adam Caplan of reports the Patriots have worked out at least two quarterbacks Ricky Stanzi (Iowa) and Andy Dalton (TCU). The Patriots have also had Jake Locker and Ryan Mallett in for pre-draft visits.

Three of those quarterbacks are expected to go off the board before the second round ends. Stanzi is expected to go off the board in rounds 3-5.

Tom Brady turns 34 in August, which is not considered old by quarterback standards, but if the Pats see a QB out there that could take over for Brady in 2-3 years, or maybe sooner, one has to wonder if this is the season they will pull the trigger on one.

The Colts are going through the exact same thing with Peyton Manning as well, as they are reportedly really interested in TCU QB Andy Dalton.
