Charges Against Broncos Dumervil Dismissed

A Denver court dismissed all charges Thursday against Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

He had been cited with assault and disturbing the peace following an argument with a parking lot attendant at Invesco Field at Mile High prior the Broncos’ game Oct. 24 against the Oakland Raiders. The incident occured when Dumervil forgot his player credential and was not allowed in by the parking attendant.

Dumervil, who missed the entire season following surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, made a cell-phone call to a team official and was quickly cleared to enter, but the parking lot attendant filed a complaint.

“”He never should have been charged in the first place,” said Harvey Steinberg, Dumervil’s attorney. “”And the press coverage should be the same not that his case has been dismissed as when he was charged.”

  1. portion of our basis of support ? Can we walk the talk of better healthcare, working conditions, and long term sustainability to include the SOURCE of our income by direct community support of health clinics, public jobs, organic farming and other social infrastructure within our society? We are what we eat, and none of us live isolated and immune from our cultural resources. Fellow Players like David Meggyesy and Chip Oliver have been pointing this out for decades.

It seems to me that at this point in time a failure to recognize and honor where our prosperity actually comes from would be a short sighted dis-service to ourselves, our future players AND our loyal fans.
