Miami’s Free Agent Wish List Includes Panthers RB Williams

The Dolphins want a much more dynamic offense in 2011, and one way to get that is by adding some home run hitters and playmakers to the offense.

Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that one free agent has surfaced at the top of the Dolphin’s must have list for next year is Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams, who in his career has been a home run hitter.

Kelly says that Williams is the model of what the Dolphins want for their offense. Unless the price is right, don’t look for either Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams to be in Miami next year.

Williams was hurt much of last year, but in the past has had some big seasons. His biggest was in 2008, when he ran for 1515 yards on 273 with 18 touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 121 yards.

For his career he’s run for 4211 yards and 31 touchdowns, and could be a feature back in the Fins offense for years to come if the club can get him to South Beach.
