BREAKING NEWS: Matt Hasselbeck will Start Saturday at Quarterback for Seattle

The quarterback controversy in Seattle is over.

According to the team, Seahawks’ head coach Pete Carroll decided today that 12-year veteran and long-time starter Matt Hasselbeck will be under center Saturday when the defending Super Bowl champions, the New Orleans Saints, come to Qwest Field for a NFC Wild Card matchup.

Hasselbeck missed his team’s regular-season finale due to a left hip injury sustained during a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of Seattle’s Week 16 loss in Tampa Bay.

With Hasselbeck sidelined last weekend, backup Charlie Whitehurst guided the team to a 16-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams.  The win cost St. Louis the NFC West championship and a playoff spot, while it gave Seattle its first championship banner since 2007.

Shit now where going to lose why the hell would you put a injured person into the game when he wasnt able to be in the last game makes no sence. Just because you got to play offs doesnt mean MATT should be honored with being in that game.
