Jaguars to Keep Jack Del Rio as Head Coach

One job that does not appear that will be opening up is that of the Jaguars coaching position. The AP is reporting that Jack Del Rio’s job with the club is safe, despite a collapse at the end of the season that cost the team the playoffs.

Owner Wayne Weaver has not made his decision public. Weaver will address the media at 5:30 p.m.

The Jaguars wrapped up the year Sunday at 8-8, as they fell to the Texans in Houston. The team wrapped up the season with a three-game losing streak, blowing a chance to clinch the AFC South and return to the postseason for the first time in three years.

Jacksonville ended last year on a four-game slide, and the team is 4-11 in December and January under Del Rio the last three years.
