Vikings QB Brett Favre Says It’s Over

Brett Favre didn’t play in what is likely to be his last NFL game because of a concussion, but he still went to the podium and gave yet another farewell speech.

“God blessed me from the start. I hope people appreciated the way I played,” said Favre.

“It’s time. I know it’s time.”

“It’s been a wonderful ride.”

“One game, one season does not define me.”

As if his indecision and performance in 2010 didn’t do enough damage to his popularity, Favre was forced to leave his final presser by giving no comment in regards to the NFL’s punishment for his lack of cooperation as they investigated him for sending inappropriate texts and photos to Jenn Sterger.

Favre’s annual indecision is unlikely to reappear yet again. He seems truly resigned to stepping away from the game this time, and not many teams will be begging him to return, which is the type of pandering that Favre would almost certainly need to convince him to put the helmet on just “one more time.”
