Halftime Check-in: Seattle at New Orleans

After a relatively one-sided first half through the initial 28 minutes of play in New Orleans, 17 points were scored during the final two with 10 belonging to the Seahawks.

Wide receiver Ben Obomanu was on the receiving end of a two-yard Matt Hasselbeck touchdown pass just after the two-minute warning to cut the Saints’ lead to 21-13; however, Marques Colston hauled in his second touchdown reception of over 20 yards 54 seconds later. A botched placement of the snap on New Orleans’ extra point forced holder Chase Daniel scrambling toward the goal line, but the first-year pro failed to break the plane.

With a minute remaining, Hasselbeck led the Seahawks back onto the field, but two offensive penalties stalled the drive and forced Olindo Mare out onto the field, where he converted a 43-yard field goal try to bring the Seahawks to within 11 at the half.

At the half, the Saints lead the Seahawks 27-16.
