“Old Chad” replaces “New Chad”
Chad Pennington is now the Dolphins starting QB. Chad Henne’s inconsistent play has gone too far for Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano:
“They both have strengths, and certainly weaknesses,” Sparano said. “At this particular time, my decision is Chad Pennington’s strengths might be suited a little bit more for where we need to be.”
“It is time to move,” Sparano said. “If you don’t move during this month, you’re going to be in the also-rans.”
This is not an indictment on Chad Henne at all. It’s not an indictment on his future. This player has gotten an awful lot better. But at this particular time, it’s something I believe I need to do for our team.
The Dolphins host the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.
