Steelers LB Harrison to face another fine for hit on Brees

After getting hit for a 15-yard penalty in Sunday’s 20-10 loss to the Saints, it now appears from all reports that Steelers LB James Harrison could be facing yet more money out of his pocket for the late hit on Drew Brees.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday night during the Texans-Colts MNF game that Harrison will be fined for the hit on Brees that resulted in a roughing the passer call.

Harrison was flagged for hitting Brees from behind a count too late after Brees has gotten rid of the ball. While not a helmet-to-helmet hit, the NFL wants to make sure that Brees and the QB’s in the league are protected, and it sounds like Harrison is going to have to once again get yelled at by the league in the form of a fine.

This is total BS, they’re just out to get Harrison now. He’s become the league’s whipping boy and it’s crap. Football isn’t the sport it used to be, I hope they do have a strike. It’s not even fun to watch anymore anyway. How can hockey players literally beat the crap out of each other on the ice, but when a quarterback gets tackled a little rough, everyone’s up in arms. It’s football, you’re making multi-million dollars a year, get over it or quit.

No fine for the guy who launched him self and hung off Ben’s back?

What about the helmet to helmet on Ward in the end zone?

The NFL needs to be MUCH more consistent!

You know what? I don’t think Harrison saw the ball come out of Brees’s hand. If you watch the replay, he goes to strip the ball as if he thinks Brees pulled the ball down and was holding it in front of his body.

He’s late and he ducks his helmet into the mans back. He knows he is under the looking glass, he is dumb or just can’t control it, I hope the money goes to a good cause.
