The Jacksonville Jaguars Newest Fan

I can proudly say I’m now able to wear the same hat Trent Edwards wears

Hello all…my name is Didier “DJ” Boursiquot and I would like to announce that from this day forward, I will be a proud JACKSONVILLE Jaguars fan. I have been a San Francisco 49ers fan ever since I’ve learned the game of football, and will continue to actively cheer for them. I, however, had never felt the need to cheer for an AFC team. But, today is a new day, and I pledge allegiance to the Jaguars from Jacksonville.

Many of you may ask: “Why the Jaguars? Why cheer for a team that is STRUGGLING to sell tickets? Why not the Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Chargers, heck, even the Colts? Why root for a team that may be headed/relocate to Los Angeles in a few years?”… My answers are simple.  First, I say why not. Sure, the Jaguars are not keeping their opponents up at night. Yes, they find it rather hard to sell their tickets. And, I can definitely make a logical case to cheer for the other 15 AFC teams instead of the Jaguars. If, and I say again, if, the team moves to Los Angeles, or any other city for that matter, I may no longer cheer for the Jaguars. That remains to be seen. But, for the foreseeable future, the Jaguars are my team out of the AFC.

Now, just who exactly is DJ Boursiquot…? Well…. I have just rounded out my teenage years and just turned 20. I find myself currently in school studying towards a degree in Communication Studies. Where I find myself upon ending my studies is not yet known. But, I do have to say working in the world of sports, in any capacity, has always been a dream of mine.

Living in a city with only one professional sports team (Ottawa Senators), I almost feel like I am compelled to cheer for all other cities with a single professional sports team. Knowing how much it would pain me if the Senators were to leave town, you can bet that I DO NOT want to see the Jaguars leave Jacksonville. Even though I have never been there, Jacksonville, rightly or wrongly, now feels like a part of me.

My intent is to make this website one of the first places you frequent on the web when it comes to the Jaguars. I know that my opinion will differ than that of many readers, and in return, I ask that you raise your issue with me. Jaguars Gab needs to be interactive. By discussing your thoughts and ideas, I will learn from you (the readers), and hopefully you as well may learn something from me.

Expect to have my thoughts and opinions on the Jaguars regarding trades, signings, camps, and the games, and many more on a regular basis. Occasionally, I may write about other teams and the NFL as a whole.

Should you have any questions, comments, concerns, thoughts, and maybe even ideas on how I should “run” this site, do send me an email at:

Hope to hear from you all!
